"description": "
\"Foreign\", namespaces which can be used by anyone if they met specific criteria to use the namespaces.
\n
These are made available for anyone to use, free of charge, by defining methods on how to share parts of the AID namespace in a way that ensures that there are no allocation conflicts and no human intervention required.
\n
For example, owners of a IANA Private Enterprise Number (PEN) can automatically claim a part of the ViaThinkSoft AID namespace beginning with PIX F0.
The owner of the partial namespace can use their namespace to form AIDs. Obviously, since they only receive a small partition of the namespace, their Partial-PIX is smaller than the PIX a vendor would receive if they buy a \"full\" RID namespace.
\n
Currently, the following schemas can be used:
\n
\n
F0 = IANA PEN based AID
\n
F1 = ViaThinkSoft FreeOID based AID
\n
F2 = MAC (OUI/EUI or CID/ELI) address based AID
\n
F3 = Device Vendor Based AID\n
\n
F3 01 = USB Vendor/Product
\n
F3 02 = PCI Vendor/Product
\n
\n
\n
F4 = Identified Organization Based AID\n
\n
F4 01 = D-U-N-S number based AID
\n
F4 02 = Ringgold ID based AID
\n
F4 03 = DOI based AID
\n
\n
\n
F5 = GS1 number based AID
\n
F6 = Short OID based AID
\n
F7 = Identified person based AID\n
\n
F7 01 1x = International Standard Name Identifier (ISNI) based AID
\n
F7 01 2x = Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) based AID
\n
\n
\n
F8 = ISO 6523 ICD (International Code Designators) based AID\n
\n
F8 00 BD = European Business Identifier (EBID)
\n
\n
\n
",
